IOWA CITY – After four straight losses to ranked foes to open the season City High got into the win column on Tuesday and the Little Hawks did so in impressive fashion.

City High rolled past Cedar Rapids Prairie 25-20, 25-22, 25-21 in a Mississippi Valley Conference matchup at City High.

The Little Hawks improved to 1-4 on the season and 1-1 in MVC play while Prairie dropped to 3-2 and 0-2 in MVC matches.

Alexa Aldrich-Ingram led City High with 14 kills and added 14 assists and seven digs in the win.

Ellie Evans added nine kills for City High while Shannon James had eight kills and Shannon Stamp chipped in with seven.

Sydney Schroder had 20 assists for City High and James had three ace serves.

Grace Brown paced City High with 12 digs.
